PUBLIC POLICY
Terms
Painting changes a shared, repaintable canvas. It does not create ownership of a pixel, banner, or permanent visible position.
Payments and credits
Quotes are calculated by the server and expire. Lightning payments are final and non-refundable. Settlement races and overpayment are issued as non-withdrawable voucher credit.
Voucher credit can be used only for painting. Anyone holding its recovery code can spend it, so keep the code private. Lost codes cannot be reconstructed. Credits and settled purchases are not cash balances and cannot be withdrawn or refunded.
Banner owners and payments
Painting payments are sent directly to the banner owner's verified Lightning address. Bitcoin Pixel separately sells account-wide credits used to accept paid paintings. A banner owner may remove or archive a banner at any time; buying pixels does not guarantee that a banner or artwork remains publicly available.
Content and moderation
Artwork, messages, attribution, and links must comply with the displayed banner and platform policies. Banner owners and platform administrators may invalidate or remove public content without a refund. Invalidation restores the valid visible state and removes the invalidated purchase from future price ancestry; later valid overpainting remains valid. Public replay omits invalidated transactions, while restricted audit records preserve what occurred.
Links and embeds
A qualifying HTTPS link is optional and appears only through a deliberate Visit action. Painting canvases do not navigate automatically. Sandboxed embeds cannot control the host page, and owners or the platform may disable link discovery independently of the audit record.
